First built in around 1750, and registered as an inn at around that time, the Swan Inn at Brome was eventually taken over by Alan and Sylvia in 1986, becoming Nosher's local three years later in 1989. 

Once home to "Roger at the Organ" on Sunday nights, an occasional darts league, many a party night and frequent booze-cruise trips for the regulars thanks to newspaper ferry tokens that Spammy collected, the pub even launched its own cycling club - the Brome Swan Cycle Club - in 1995

The Swan eventually closed due to retirement in the summer of 2017, and in common with so many pubs did not find a buyer and was eventually sold as a house.
