title The Sunday Seisiún at the London Irish Centre, Camden Town - 22nd June 2025 intro Isobel sorts out tickets for the Sunday Seisiún at the Irish Centre in Camden Town, which at £6 each for around four hours of music is the bargain of the century - only slightly offset by the £128 it costs us to get there and back by train. The session is in two halves, with the first made up from several bands - Bold Love, Cliffords, Fynch, the awesome Madra Salach (Dirty Dog), Scustin and Wildes - performing two or three numbers each, followed by a slightly-more trad session in the second half, where the bands mix up a bit. Somewhere in-between is "authentic Irish Chinese" food courtesy of Paddy Wok, including a "spice bag", which is essentially a giant portion of very salty chips with some vaguely Chinese food added. In a bag. And given the portion size it was just as well we didn't get one each. Also there is Isobel's friend Caoimhe the Shoe, last seen around nine years ago when we went to Highgate to pick a desk up. imgp3017 Fred tries out a suit in Marks and Spencer imgp3018 Fred with his purchases on Gentleman's Walk imgp3020 A ship, a crest and a funky clock on Exchange Street imgp3024 A derelict florist in Stowmarket imgp3025 The URC in Stowmarket has scaffolding on the tower imgp3026 Ipswich Street in Stowmarket imgp3031 The church of St. Peter and St. Mary imgp3032 A derelict building on Station Road West imgp3036 Impressive Victorian façade on Liverpool Street imgp3037 An argent dragon marks the City of London imgp3038 Isobel walks along Moorfields imgp3040 Moorgate underground station imgp3041 A classic Mind the Gap platform sign imgp3043 Art for sale on Camden High Street imgp3045 Camden Town underground station imgp3046 It's packed on Camden High Street imgp3048 An old Boots wall advert in Camden imgp3049 Urban decay on Kentish Town Road imgp3050 British Boot Company - the original Doc Martins imgp3051 The five-way junction in Camden imgp3052 Graffiti and art off Kentish Town Road imgp3053 More Camden street art and graffiti imgp3054 Colourful graffiti on Kentish Town Road imgp3056 Painted tattoo buildings imgp3058 Isobel checks directions on Buck Street imgp3063 The Regent's Canal in Camden Town imgp3064 Camden Road on a railway bridge imgp3065 A derelict railway bridge imgp3068 We've made it to the London Irish Centre imgp3069 Isobel has a Guiness Zero and a bag of crisps imgp3074 We check the Paddy Wok menu with Caoimhe the Shoe imgp3076 The first band - Bold Love - take to the stage imgp3084 Cliffords are next on stage imgp3092 Rapper Fynch does a set imgp3103 Lankum-like band Madra Salach do a great set imgp3106 Guitar and Mandolin action from "Dirty Dog" imgp3135 The lead singer from Scustin works the crowd imgp3152 Penny whistle action from Scustin imgp3161 The final act is Wildes imgp3171 Caoimhe and Isobel chat in the interval imgp3187 More of a trad session starts up after the break imgp3198 Trad-ish music in the London Irish Centre imgp3200 A teeshirt of Fungie the Dingle Dolphin imgp3204 A moment from the Fungie guy imgp3233 The singer from Madra Salach does a number imgp3244 Crowds in the McNamara Hall imgp3246 More trad music imgp3253 There's applause from the crowds imgp3258 There's a quieter trad session in the front bar imgp3260 More-traditional trad music imgp3265 Sunshine hugs outside the Irish Centre imgp3266 Tat shops on Camden Road imgp3267 Camden Town tiled sign on the underground imgp3268 A tube train comes into Camden Town underground imgp3269 The NatWest tower is now dwarfed by a new building imgp3270 Isobel turns onto Blomfield Street imgp3272 Funky ball sculpture outside the Elizabeth Line imgp3279 The bridge from Relik on the way back to Diss
