title A Rainy Couple of Hours in Norwich, Norfolk - 24th February 2025 intro Isobel's got a couple of work meetings in Norwich, so it's a chance to tag along and roam around Norwich for a couple of hours. Although it's not exactly first thing in the morning, the market has mostly not yet opened and the streets are quiet, so it's quite reminiscent of wandering around Norwich on a Sunday back in the 80s, before the implementation of the Sunday Trading act in 1994. Which is quite appropriate, as the roaming around includes a trip up to Valentine Street to the old rented house occupied in 1987, and a look to see if the old Soman-Wherry offices - once the Crocodile pub, and now just an anonymous house - are still there. imgp0564 The new Hay Hill on a wet day imgp0566 A damp Haymarket imgp0567 The long-present City Fish on the market imgp0568 The vegetable stalls have set up early imgp0569 A striking illustration on a florist's HGV imgp0570 Norwich market is quiet before 10am imgp0571 The kitchen equipment stall imgp0572 The door to the Undercroft Gallery is open imgp0573 Steps on the way to St. Peter Mancroft imgp0579 There's a pigeon explosion imgp0581 A view over Norwich Market imgp0582 Lower Goat Lane in Norwich imgp0583 Further down Lower Goat Lane imgp0584 A quiet Pottergate imgp0585 Old chairs outside the Grosvenor Fish Bar imgp0586 A zebra crossing on St. Benedict's imgp0587 A graffiti alley off St. Benedict's imgp0589 An old sign for F.
