title Palgrave Players do the White Horse Open Mic Night, South Lopham - 29th September 2024 intro Fresh from their well-reviewed performances of the musical Once, the Palgrave Players take some of their earlier Celtic Nights music to the open-mic night at the South Lopham White Horse. It's quite a raucous and in places chaotic night, but the music goes down well with the lively crowd. Later, the old Post Office in Diss - constructed in the classic architectural style of many built in the late 1940s and 1950s - has closed up and moved to the other end of town. Then, Nosher and Mick the Brick are up at the Railway Tavern in Mellis where there's a rare Triumph racing car, built on a TR6 chassis. Finally, it's Fred's birthday so there's a Lemon Drizzle cake, and we're in Diss for a car boot sale. imgp6755 The first act sets up imgp6759 There's an unusual appearance of a cello first imgp6765 Some of the PP band sing "Fields of Athenry" imgp6771 Isobel watches the proceedings imgp6772 The Open-mic emcees do a number imgp6774 Vicky adds a bit of fiddle imgp6776 Doug does his stand-up bass thing imgp6781 Vicky on fiddle for another guitar song imgp6792 There's another rowdy singing number imgp6794 Cathal sings Raglan Road imgc20240923_113617 The counter of the old Post Office in Diss imgc20240923_113709 The old Post Office in Diss has closed imgc20240923_113741 The outside of the Post Office, built in 1953 imgc20241003_112655 A pint of Ghost Ship Zero at Old buckenham imgc20240828_195826 There's a rare Triumph Spyder TR6 at the Railway imgc20240828_195849 The cockpit of the rare Triumph imgc20240828_200350 Charlie gives someone the finger(s) imc20240925_190741 Harry lights a candle on Fred's cake imgc20240824_110830 The new patio awning is mostly complete imgc20240818_112943 We poke around a car boot sale in Diss
