title The BSCC at Gissing Crown and Thelnetham White Horse - 18th July 2024 intro The remains of the Brome Swan Cycle Club is out again on a couple of Thursdays - firstly to the Crown at Gissing, and then the week after to the newly-reopened White Horse at Thelnetham, a popular stop back in the olden days of the club. Gaz is navigating, so we take a different route which includes a bit of off-roading and then a ride through Hinderclay. It's also the first properly-warm ride of the season, so a couple of pints of Captain Bob in the warm evening sunshine are most welcome. After the White Horse, we head back the original way via Redgrave for a short stop at the Cross Keys. imgp0073 It's General Election day at the village hall imgp0074 A previously uneen restaurant at the Gissing Crown imgp0076 Gaz, Phil and a few beers imgp0077 The Boy Phil and Paul at the Crown, Gissing imgp0078 The bar of the Gissing Crown imgp0080 Paul checks his bike outside the pub imgp0081 We head off from the pub imgp0083 On the road through Back Heyward towards Diss imgp0084 A flowery camper van on Catherine Street, Cambridge imgp0087 Harvest has started near Burgate imgp0088 The Boy Phil cycles through Hinderclay imgp0089 Gaz in the bar of the White Horse, Thelnetham imgp0090 We sit outside the pub in the warm evening sun imgp0091 Gaz and Phil outside the White Horse imgp0093 There's a nice old motorbike outside the pub imgp0094 Gaz and Phil again imgp0095 Gaz gets some more beers in imgp0098 A snug in the White Horse imgp0099 Another view of the White Horse bar imgp0102 Phil gets his helmet ready imgp0104 Gaz gets a photo of some geese in a field imgp0105 The geese are back near Gressingham's factory imgp0107 Gaz on his bike imgp0108 The geese fly off, with a little encouragement imgp0110 The pool room of the Crosskeys, Redgrave imgp4371 P-51D Mustang "Marinell" is back over Suffolk
