title A Postcard From New Buckenham, Norfolk - 5th October 2023 intro Nosher's on another longish bike ride via Banham, with a brief diversion to New Buckenham, another mile or two up the road, for a poke around. It's the location of several BBs gigs at the village hall, but it's the first time to actually look round the village with a bit more time and intent. After that, it's back to the Old Buckenham Country Park café for a drink and a snack before the ride back via Kenninghall, The Lophams and Redgrave. imgc0076 St. Martin's Church in New Buckenham imgc0077 The graveyard of St. Martin's church imgc0081 Inside St. Martin's imgc0084 The church has an impressive mediaeval door imgc0085 New Buckenham's Market Cross building imgc0086 The village green imgc0088 There's a sheep statue endlessly grazing imgc0089 The King's Head - the last pub in New Buckenham imgc0090 Another view of the Market Cross imgc0091 A cute little thatched cottage imgc0092 The village shop imgc0093 A look up the High Street towards Banham imgc0096 A glimpse of New Buckenham castle imgc0098 The bike statue in the café's pond imgc0101 Two dragnflies get it on imgp7270 Fred makes some delightful woodland creatures imgp7276 The woodland people are in the walnut tree imgp7283 Two more creature creations in an apple tree imgp7286 A conker person with a spiky hat
