title The GSB at Sheila's Books and Band Event, Wickham Skeith, Suffolk - 30th October 2023 intro The Gislingham Silver Band is doing a gig at St. Andrew's in Wickham Skeith on the invitation of Sheila Wright, author and wife of former flugelhorn player Ron, who retired from the band a few months ago at the age of 92. The idea of the gig is for Sheila to sell a few of the leftover printings of the many books she's written, and there's a good turnout for the event, which includes a nice buffet which the boys mill into. imgc0025 The pylon upgrades are on again imgc0029 There are big pulleys hanging on the pylons imgc0032 Isobel's in The Handyman in Eye imgp7233 Harry looks up to the roof imgp7237 Adrian wanders down the nave imgp7239 Fred has a bit of a warm up imgp7240 Terry hangs around by the bass drum imgp7241 Fred in his new, larger, jacket imgp7246 It's interval time imgp7248 There's a load of nice buffet food on the go imgp7250 Ron wanders around on his walking frame imgp7251 Sheila sells some of her books imgp7252 Sheila chats to a book buyer imgp7255 There's a reasonable turnout in the church imgp7257 Some of the band have an interval chat imgp7259 Harry points to a Harry Potter gravestone imgp7262 The boys go off to look for conkers imgp7264 Back in the church imgp7265 David checks his phone imgp7266 A bench has seen better days imgp7267 Harry roams around in the churchyard
