title A Day in New Milton, Hampshire - 3rd April 2023 intro Sean sends a tip-off that Phil's coming over from the US as it's his mother's birthday, so a rail trip is booked down to New Milton for a couple of days. Sean's off on the Monday, so we get a chance to hang out and go for a walk around Keyhaven, before dinner out with Phil and the gang at The Globe in Highcliffe. There are also a couple of soul-selling trips to the Conservative Club to play snooker, an evening at Bernice's for drinks and nibbles, and a visit to the Bournemouth Museum of Aviation whilst Phil, Olli and the rest do Adventure Wonderland. The museum's a bit like Flixton in that it's a bit chaotic and the exhibits have clearly been sitting outside for a while, but it's great because you can climb into most of them and use the controls to pretend to fly and shoot at stuff. Before all of that, we visit Weybread Boat Club for a very windy 20 minutes to have a shufti around and see what's about, then we're dropping Fred off at Framlingham College for his five-day music residential, prior to the Suffolk Youth Wind Orchestra's performance at Snape Maltings. imgp1916 Harry pokes about near the van imgp1918 Fred flings stones into the lake imgp1920 Fred stands on a pile of gravel near the gate imgp1922 We head into Morrisons for supplies imgp1925 The kittens are a ball of fur and cuteness imgp1928 A view of Framlingham from the college imgp1930 Framlingham College is very Hogwarts imgp1933 Isobel roams around a bit imgp1938 Fred hauls his suitcase to the meet-up point imgp1941 The train to London rocks up at Diss Station imgp1943 There's a bit of flooding near Stowmarket imgp1949 The remains of Fison's North warehouse imgp1959 There's a pair of Class 90 locos at Ipswich imgp1961 The old Xylotol/Wardle-Storey site is for sale imgp1964 Not much remains of the old factory site imgp1983 The bus-replacement crowds pile into Ingatestone imgp1984 Ingatestone station looks a bit like Diss imgp1993 Graffiti by the trackside near Seven Sisters imgp1994 More tags under a road bridge imgp2001 A nice tag on a brick shed near Bethnal Green imgp2003 Machine-gun graffiti near Liverpool Street imgp2006 Liverpool Street Station's main concourse imgp2008 On the tube at Oxford Circus imgp2010 One of the last ancient tube trains comes in imgp2011 Graffiti on the door of an old tube train imgp2014 A dude in a hat on the escalator at Waterloo imgp2015 Waterloo Station is busy as usual imgp2016 A quiet platform 4 and 5 at Waterloo imgp2021 Waterloo Station from up on the balcony imgp2024 Platform 8 at Waterloo and the Bournemouth train imgp2026 A cool Pogoe tag on a railway bridge imgp2039 Sean cues up in New Milton Conservative Club imgp2042 New Milton is slumming it with a Domino's imgp2043 The old NatWest bank is now a KFC imgp2044 Milford on Sea imgp2045 The village green at Milford on Sea imgp2048 The old-school Village News in Milford imgp2052 A dude on the sea wall near Keyhaven imgp2054 A view over the sea towards the Isle of Wight imgp2063 Sean on the path along the sea wall imgp2064 More walkers on the raised path imgp2065 A small dinghy scuds about on the Solent imgp2071 The salt marshes of Keyhaven imgp2072 Sean looks well dodgy in shades and a hoody imgp2077 Geese fly along the river imgp2081 Keyhaven and its forest of boat masts imgp2086 A safe is being hauled out of the Gun Inn imgp2089 A platinum jubilee bench in New Milton imgp2091 New Milton's high street - Station Road imgp2092 New Forest Stationers lives on imgp2093 Pads n Paws has been going since the 80s imgp2097 Amuseum volunteer peers into a Gnat carcass imgp2098 The flight deck of a BAe 146 imgp2102 A Westland Wessex, in RAF rescue livery imgp2107 The cabin of another airliner imgp2112 The cockpit of a BAC 1-11 of Empire Test School imgp2121 Inside the Wessex helicopter imgp2126 A view of the museum imgp2141 A Ryanair Boeing 737-800 taxis at Hurn Airport imgp2145 A Sepecat Jaguar imgp2149 The cockpit of an actual Vulcan Bomber, XH537 imgp2163 A late-model Gloster Meteor imgp2166 A 737-229, repainted in the livery of PalmAir imgp2168 A cool simulator cockpit of a Vickers Vanguard imgp2172 Inside the wrecked Folland Gnat cockpit imgp2179 We go out for dinner with Phil, Olli and Bernice imgp2181 We walk the mean streets of Highcliffe imgp2185 A Polski Sklep in New Milton imgp2188 One of Nosher's old pads: 35 Vincent Road imgp2189 Arnewood School's ROSLA building imgp2191 The many gravestones of New Milton's cemetery imgp2195 The trees in the playing field are still there imgp2199 New Milton's church of St. Mary Magdalene imgp2201 Stained glass in the Wheatsheaf pub imgp2202 A nice tiled sign for Dorchester beers imgp2206 The Wheatsheaf has been done up imgp2210 The back of Arnewood School imgp2212 The New Milton Advertiser's old shed imgp2213 Another workshop shed on Old Milton Road imgp2219 There's a train to Bournemouth at the station imgp2227 Graffiti on the old Quaker Meeting House imgp2231 Bright graffiti tags on signalling equipment imgp2233 A massive pile of rusty tracks near Southampton imgp2234 Bleeding silver tags outside Southampton imgp2238 Heavily-graffitoed apartment buildings imgp2239 Sky-blue graffiti near a train wash imgp2249 More graffiti on some line-side boxes imgp2264 The train rolls in to Waterloo Station imgp2269 Curious goings on at the end of the line imgp2271 The driver changes ends at Waterloo imgp2274 Changing trains at Bank underground imgp2275 Liverpool Street's Broad Street exit imgp2276 The Norwich train waits on platform 9 imgp2289 Class 08 shunter 08691 imgp2291 08891, apparently famous enough for its own model imgp2292 Another glimpse of the burned-down Fison's
