title A Frosty Walk Around Brome, Suffolk - 22nd January 2023 intro It's one of those perfect mornings with blue skies and a hoar frost on everything, so we head out - minus Harry who's on a sleep-over - for the standard short walk up to the resevoir and round the back of the Oaksmere. Before that, we're up at Brome Village Hall for a quiz loosely themed around "Life, the Universe and Everything", and then the kittens are running up a lot of trees as we do a bit of metal-detecting in the back garden. imgp0018 McColls - the Blue Shop - is in some sort of statis imgp0021 Lucy - the one-eyed cat - is up a tree imgp0026 Isobel and Fred do a bit of metal detecting imgp0031 Lucy is really high up another tree imgp0053 Molly Cat joins in with the tree climbing imgp0740 Fred and Harry play Plop Trumps in the village hall imgp0743 More games in the village hall imgp0747 A cat legs it up the garden imgp0751 A low sun through the trees imgp0753 A perfectly-frosted spider web imgp0755 A garden tortoise is covered in ice-fur imgp0759 The olive tree has grown thorns imgp0761 Molly the Mog looks around imgp0763 Isobel's down at the bottom of the garden imgp0765 There's a hare in a frosty field imgp0768 Lucy watches us walk off around the fields imgp0769 Chinner's old fence is in a bit of a state imgp0777 Fred pokes a frosty plant imgp0784 Rectory Road in Brome, near the church imgp0785 Fred and Isobel walk up to the resevoir imgp0793 Ducks walk across the ice imgp0798 A view of the resevoir and the weak winter sun imgp0801 More bird life on the frozen water imgp0813 Fred stomps around looking for stones to throw imgp0825 Isobel sticks her arms out imgp0834 Fred stomps on some ice imgp0837 Isobel pulls a sock up imgp0840 Fred's found a nice run of very thick ice imgp0846 Fred's head is a sheet of ice imgp0853 Fred walks around the fields imgp0855 There's a very faint fog-bow imgp0860 Foggy trees on the Oaksmere's drive imgp0863 Isobel on the Oaksmere's drive
