title	A Trip to Old Buckenham Airfield, Norfolk - 6th August 2022
intro	Isobel and the boys are camping at Old Buckenham Country Park whilst Nosher stays at home to repaint the kitchen ceiling. The original plan was to cycle over and spend a few hours before heading off to the Ampersand Tap for Marc's birthday, however the last-minute arrival of Kai and Nathan at Diss railway station means that they need a lift to the campsite instead. Once there, we take the younglings over to Old Buckenham airfield for a visit to the museum. It's nice, but not particularly extensive so only takes about 15 minutes to poke around, however after we've had a drink at the café dedicated to James Stewart (who was based at Old Buckenham during WWII), Eliot asks a returning flying instructor what it's like to fly, which triggers a visit for the boys to a Piper four-seater aircraft and a chance to sit in the front seats and fiddle with the controls.
