title A Trip to Framlingham, Suffolk - 28th July 2022 intro It's the summer holidays so we're looking for stuff to do and decide to visit Framlingham again, as English Heritage membership means that at least it's free to go into the castle for a poke around. We also have a rummage around the town and end up in Bulstrode's, which advertises itself as a carpet shop but which actually has quite an impressive range of Lego and other toys going on. imgp6128 The Castle Inn, near, er, the castle imgp6129 Inside the castle walls imgp6131 The boys immediately gravitate towards the shop imgp6134 A view of the Red House imgp6137 The boys look over the castle walls imgp6138 Relics of the Framlingham Brass Band imgp6139 Harry's looking at bows and arrows imgp6142 We roam around the market square imgp6143 There are a load of waving queens in a shop window imgp6144 A fancy scroll, from 1677 imgp6145 The Framlingham sign, and marketplace imgp6146 Bulstrode's carpet and toy shop imgp6147 A couple of kids scoot down Bridge Street imgp6149 There's an impressive range of Lego in Bulstrodes imgp6150 St. Michael's Church imgp6153 Harry flings chestnuts around imgp6154 The empty Framlingham Conservative Club imgp6155 A portal to a world of entertainment imgp6156 Isobel checks out an art exhibition imgp6157 A well-worn picket fence and a path somewhere imgp6158 Isobel's at the bar in the Castle Inn imgp6159 The boys have pub slushies imgp6161 Fred's on the Rubik's cube again imgp6164 There are snail trails on Brome village hall's carpet imgp6165 A game of dominoes occurs imgp6166 Isobel looks over as Harry gets a lemonade imgp6168 At the village hall bar imgp6172 The back field gets combined
