title The Jubilee Torch Run, Brome and Oakley, Suffolk - 25th May 2022 intro Suffolk's Jubilee Torch tour - where a symbolic torch is being carried by cycle rickshaw through every village in the county - makes it to Brome and Oakley, after a brief diversion caused by not being able to get through the gate on the old Oakley crossroads road. Once it reaches Brome, Jack from the village is picked up to carry the torch through to Oakley, where he's dropped off again. There's a good turnout outside the village hall to watch th proceedings. After that, there are some nice field-margin flowers just outside Gislingham, spotted on a Thursday morning bike ride. imgp4135 The torch team pedal into Brome Street imgp4148 Jack is installed in the rickshaw imgp4152 The torch is handed over imgp4162 The rickshaw heads off to the village hall imgp4165 The torch heads past Bromelands imgp4172 There's a stop outside the village hall imgp4182 A group photo occurs imgp4190 One of the older residents of Brome gets a go imgp4191 the torch is passed around imgp4195 Jack and his parents get a photo imgp4200 Outside the memorial shelter imgp4209 The entourage, with Mark following, heads to Oakley imgp4216 There's a pause to let a sprayer past imgp4217 The torch reaches Upper Oakley imgp4224 There's a stop for another photo imgp4231 The rickshaw heads out onto the main Hoxne Road imgp4236 All stop as Jack is dropped off in Lower Oakley imgp0079 Mick the Brick heads onto the airfield runway imgp0080 Eye Airfield's old concrete runway imgp0081 Nice Dog Daisies near Gislingham imgp0086 A few poppies wave around imgp0091 A white butterfly flits around imgp0096 A bee does its thing imgp0104 Nosher's bike leans on a post
