title Manorhamilton and the Street Art of Dún Laoghaire, Ireland - 15th August 2021 intro It's the last few hours in Sligo, and we find an outdoor market in the carpark of IT Sligo. After buying some cheese and other assorted food items, we head back to Manorhamilton to drop Faith off after her sleep-over with Harry. After another walk around Manorhamilton, we make the drive back on the N4 and M4 to Monkstown Farm near Dublin. The next day, we head off without the boys for a walk around Dun Laoghaire to see some of the new street art, then Jen Mac makes an appearance with her new-ish dog Bear and shows us a load of back-alley stuff we'd missed the first time around. imgp8898 Benbulben Court - our apartment block imgp8899 We head off for a walk imgp8900 It's Covid city down at IT Sligo imgp8902 There's a market in the car park imgp8904 We queue up for some crepes imgp8906 A flower and plant stall imgp8910 There's anothere queue, this time for cheese imgp8913 A guitarist does his thing imgp8914 Isobel looks back imgp8915 Harry hangs on the monkey bars imgp8918 Manorhamilton castle imgp8919 A bungalow on a hill imgp8921 Harry on a seesaw imgp8922 The castle from up on the Mullies road imgp8923 A derelict cottage imgp8924 Fred and Fern on the seesaw imgp8925 Another view of Connolly's Bar imgp8926 We're back in SuperValu looking for lunch imgp8927 We queue at the hot-food counter for pizza imgp8928 Fred looks around in SuperValu imgp8929 Isobel walks off with some bags of Tayto imgp8930 Inside a closed-down carpet shop imgp8932 A jumble of randomness in a closed-up shop imgp8933 The laundrette is still running imgp8934 Isobel and the boys look at house prices imgp8935 McMorrow Meats is closed down imgp8937 Keenan's Family Butchers imgp8938 An ornate door surround imgp8939 Harry's on a sculpture imgp8940 It's a pizza picnic imgp8942 Harry climbs around imgp8946 Rachel looks out imgp8948 There's an old petrol station on the N4 imgp8949 S Reynolds and a derelict petrol pump imgp8950 The old post office in Killargue imgp8951 Wynne's petrol station near Killargue imgp8952 Some huge derelict building imgp8955 Collonaded entrance to an epic derelict building imgp8957 Some GAA fans cause a traffic jam on the M4 imgp8958 We get back to Da Gorls house imgp8959 The derelict house in the hospital car park imgp8960 The tower of St. Michael's on Bóthar na Mara imgp8961 An underground car park entrance imgp8962 Street art on a traffic light control box imgp8964 Shuttered buildings and scaffolding imgp8965 A paint-splattering cannon on Patrick Street imgp8967 A wall mural of a fish monger imgp8969 Another painted building imgp8970 A relic of the past: an Internet Café imgp8971 Shop of the moment: The PPE Shop imgp8973 A giant puffin on Dunphy's Bar imgp8977 Isobel roams around on George's Street imgp8978 Super Tech derelict phone shop imgp8979 More wall art on George's Street imgp8980 An abandoned wheelie bin in an alley imgp8981 The ghost of an old post office imgp8983 The Carnegie Library from 1912 imgp8984 Graffiti on a tattoo shop imgp8985 First Stop garage imgp8986 The remains of the Ireland Hairdressing champions imgp8987 An entire swimming scene on a building imgp8989 A heron on a traffic light control box imgp8990 The old fire station on George's Place imgp8991 A jumble of stuff in a closed shop imgp8992 Isoble inspects a curious stand-alone building imgp8993 Interesting pink flowers imgp8994 An Edward VII post box, painted green imgp8995 We meet up with Jen and her dog, Bear imgp8997 More wall art at St. Michael's hospital imgp8999 Outside Argos imgp9000 We walk through Bloomfield's imgp9001 Bloomfield's shopping arcade imgp9002 A seal on the wall behind Dunphy's imgp9003 Author and poet paintings imgp9005 A waiter statue outside a café imgp9006 Graffiti'd metal gates imgp9008 A random toilet imgp9009 More bird art imgp9010 Graffiti on another back alley imgp9011 A Dún Laoghaire back street imgp9012 More backstreet graffiti imgp9013 We pop out by Mike's Bikes on Patrick Street imgp9015 There's a nice mural of an old DART train imgp9016 Cool pictures based on DART tickets imgp9017 Support Local on Lees Lane imgp9018 Derelict buildings imgp9019 Slaughter wall art on Lees Lane imgp9020 Another derelict shop imgp9024 A huge brick wall imgp9025 Suspect-looking electrical gear imgp9026 Another view of St. Patrick's spire from Marine Walk imgp9028 A street food market on Queen's Road imgp9029 It's serene down at the East Pier imgp9030 The lifeboat floats around on the still water imgp9031 Another painted control box imgp9032 There's a bit of fire damage at the DART station imgp9034 We say goodbye to Jen and Bear imgp9037 A DART train pulls in imgp9038 Graffiti on a railway substation imgp9042 Bear gets a final scratch from Isobel imgp9043 Graffiti on a DART train
