title A Sail Fitting, Billingford Windmill, Billingford, Norfolk - 20th August 2020 intro A pile of new sails had been noticed stacked up outside Billingford Windmill whilst on a trip up to the Horseshoes pub with The Boy Phil, and so Nosher and the boys headed over to have a look the next morning only to find that the new sails were in the process of being actually fitted. It's a delicate operation, and while we wait, one of the dudes comes over to explain that the person who designed the arms and sails had actually died four years before, and so they were a bit nervous as to whether they would fit, or more importantly what they would be able to do about it if they didn't. As it was a work morning, and the boys were getting fidgetty, we couldn't wait around all day to see what happened, but we did get to see the first of the sail arms fitted by a crane. imgp2164 Harry's got black slime all over his hand imgp2173 The boys in the woods on Billingford Common imgp2176 The boys find a tree with a nice low bouncy branch imgp2187 The tree canopy looks like Ausralian eucalyptus imgp2189 Billingford mill, without sails imgp2193 The sails, laid out in front of the mill imgp2195 Harry sneaks in for a closer look imgp2196 The guys work on preparing the first arm imgp2199 The old Billingford Post Office imgp2201 The old Thelveton road, now cut off by the A143 imgp2205 The boys roam around on the old road imgp2210 Harry and Fred wait for stuff to happen imgp2211 The crane picks up the arm imgp2213 The cap and fantail wait imgp2217 The scene on Billingford Common imgp2222 The two-ton arm is lifted imgp2225 The arm is gingerly lifted off the ground imgp2229 The sail arm is in the air imgp2239 The crane is operated by remote control imgp2242 The arm is fitted to the post imgp2252 The view from the back of the crane imgp2254 The arm is almost in place
