title Mullaghmore Beach and Marble Arch Caves, Sligo and Fermanagh, Ireland - 19th August 2019 intro We head out to another beach, this time at Mullaghmore. Although the weather's variable, with a mixture of lashing, sun and some "soft day, thank God" kind of stuff, the beach itself is fantastically wide and empty, and even has horses galloping on it - just like an advert for a bank or something. The next day, we drive back over the invisble border into Fermanagh to do something which is becoming something of a holiday tradition: visiting a cave, which this time is the Marble Arch Caves near Florencourt. At the end of the day, Haryana hosts a Brazillian barbeque. imgp4668 The wide expanse of beach at Mullaghmore imgp4671 Boats on the sea, with a wall of rain imgp4678 Big sky over Mullaghmore imgp4681 Isobel and the gang are as dots on the beach imgp4684 More roaming around imgp4685 Fred finds a well-preserved dead fish imgp4692 Fern races to catch up imgp4698 Fred picks something up imgp4701 Noddy and Louise appear imgp4707 Harry runs around like a lunatic imgp4712 Some horses go out for a gallop imgp4716 More galloping imgp4722 Eadweard Muybridge would have been impressed imgp4727 Harry stumps around on the sand imgp4730 Footprints on the beach imgp4734 Annalua and Fred run off for a swim imgp4739 A couple walk around as the weather closes in imgp4742 Boats in the harbour imgp4744 The harbour wall in Mullaghmore imgp4745 Fred and Fern run past imgp4746 A house painted to look like the sea imgp4747 Outside the Quay Bar imgp4748 Mullaghmore harbour imgp4750 A derelict boat imgp4751 In the restaurant imgp4753 Harry on a bollard imgp4754 The gang outside the BH Hotel imgp4757 The horses from the beach trot past imgp4759 Some sort of derelict boatyard imgp4764 Fred and Fern on the rocks imgp4773 Evelyn rinses off some hands imgp4775 A last look at Mullaghmore beach imgp4776 A discarded toy on a rock imgp4779 A road to somewhere imgp4780 The silent sorrow of empty boats on Lough Glenade imgp4784 Isobel and Harry on the pier at Lough Glenade imgp4786 Poetry saved someone's life at Lough Glenade imgp4791 The concrete jetty and Lough Glenade imgp4793 Louise reads a sign imgp4794 Isobel and the gang imgp4795 Harry stomps around imgp4804 There's a rainbow over W8 imgp4807 Another view of the derelict café in Manorhamilton imgp4809 Noddy's in SuperValu for Tayto and Brennan's bread imgp4810 Ósta restaurant and the painted building imgp4811 We inspect a collection of rocks through the ages imgp4814 Isobel roams around the car park imgp4816 Fred and the gang in the Karst limestone landscape imgp4819 Cows in the hills imgp4821 Fern takes a photo on Camera B imgp4824 Harry goes the awkward way across a cattle grid imgp4827 Butterflies on some buddleia imgp4828 Inspecting a model of the caves imgp4829 Models of a modern and an old-timey spelunker imgp4834 Crusty cave formations imgp4835 Loads of tiny stalactites imgp4839 Some nice green stuff imgp4858 Pillow formations imgp4866 Inside the caves imgp4868 More calcite curtains imgp4886 The underground river imgc4274 There's a red thing called Fred in the rocks imgp4909 Fred in the tunnel on the way back up imgp4912 Fern and Isobel climb the steps back out of the pit imgp4915 The kids run around in the café imgp4917 Back at No. 2 in the W8 apartments imgp4918 Haryana's got a good spread going on imgp4921 Haryana brings the melon out imgp4923 A toast to things imgp4929 Da Wheeze with comedy specs on imgp4930 Hanging around outside the house imgp4932 The almost-derelict backs of shops on Main Street imgp4936 The flowers sag in the rain imgp4937 It's really not barbeque weather imgp4938 A symphony of angles imgp4940 Mixed railings imgp4941 The flats in the rain imgp4943 Manorhamilton and the hills in the dusk imgp4946 The kids run around after the rain imgp4950 Fred and Baby Ra-ra imgp4953 Fred plays guitar as Isobel looks on
