title A Day on the Beach, Southwold, Suffolk - 25th August 2018 intro We take the van, plus Evelyn who's over from Dublin for the week, over to Southwold for the day. Getting there reasonably early means we get a good spot near the beach, upon which we generally doss around for the day, with a camper-van bacon fry up for a late breakfast, and some chips from Mrs. T's with hot-smoked salmon from the smokehouse next door for lunch. imgc2278 Harry and Fred leg it as soon as we get there imgc2280 Evelyn takes a seat imgc2281 Isobel fries up a load of bacon imgc2285 Fred practices some circus skills imgc2289 The beach is nice and quiet imgc2290 The boys paddle in a lagoon imgc2292 The sea breaks over the sandbar near the river wall imgc2298 Isobel and Evelyn drink tea in front of the van imgc2301 Harry runs about imgc2302 Our beach encampment imgc2305 Harry roams around imgc2306 The Alfred Corry lifeboat museum imgc2309 Harry's got a kite imgc2311 Fred watches the kite whirl around above him imgc2315 Southwold beyond the dunes imgc2317 More kite action from Harry imgc2328 Evelyn and Fred do a spot of swimming imgc2336 It's cold, so it's not long before everyone runs out of the sea again
