title Beatyard Festival, DĂșn Laoghaire, County Dublin, Ireland - 5th August 2018 intro Isobel has scored some tickets for the Beatyard Festival, held at the curious and brutal all-brick-pavier location that is the now-disused Dun Laoghaire ferry terminal. It's often hard going thanks to the lack of seating or even simple grass to flake out on, but the festival makes up for it by providing some great music in the form of Django Django, The Skatalites, the legends that are The Sugar Hill Gang and a raft of other lesser-known but on-trend acts. The boys come along for a few hours, but there's not that much for them to do so for the remainder of the festival it's auntie-based child care, which is a bonus. imgc1648 Harry, as ever, does his own thing imgc1652 Isobel's got a huge mirror head imgc1654 A hall of mirrors imgc1656 Louise has a fag on again imgc1657 A blackboard is covered in chalk randomness imgc1663 The boys get some balloons imgc1667 Fred in the dance tent imgc1671 Noddy throws some shapes imgc1674 Fred's made a massive moustache imgc1677 Celtic rock with some bird-poo logo imgc1678 On the brutal paviers imgc1679 Celtic rock imgc1684 The boys sit on the ground imgc1688 Upstairs at the Jameson stand imgc1692 A view of the stage imgc1694 Harry's not impressed imgc1698 Fred does crazy golf imgc1701 Harry gets face-painted imgc1703 Harry is painted imgc1704 It's Spider-Man again imgc1711 Wayne and Fred, with a balloon imgc1714 Free condoms are everywhere imgc1716 Wayne and Harry imgc1718 Noddy, with a stash of condom packets in his hat imgc1721 Da Wheeze and Caro wave fingers imgc1726 Caro and Wayne imgc1727 The three un-wise men imgc1729 Wayne unleashes the beast imgc1730 Noddy does some more moves imgc1739 Performance/art band "Little Dragon" imgc1746 Noddy and a geezer with face paint imgc1750 The dance tent is packed imgc1752 Hints of the venue's old life as a ferry terminal imgc1753 The gardai bring down some drug dealer or something imgc1756 Jen Mac, Isobel, Caro and Wayne imgc1758 Kamasi Washington takes to the stage imgc1772 The crowd warms up for Kamasi Washington imgc1776 The stage crew get into the groove imgc1782 Kamasi Washington does his saxophone thing imgc1789 The masts in the nearby marina in the sunset imgc1798 Flute and Saxophone action imgc1801 The lucky few on the Jameson bus get a good view imgc1811 A couple of lit-up hula hoopers imgc1819 Hanging out by the Big Blue Bus imgc1823 Isobel poses in the mirror imgc1829 A slightly-bizarre self portrait imgc1838 Django Django start their set imgc1849 Django Django fight through some technical issues imgc1868 There's a church window theme going on imgc1878 Illuminated butterfly dancers imgc1892 A purple crowd in the sunset imgc1911 The Gardai have closed the streets off imgc1913 T Murphy Victualer on George's Street imgc1917 The next day, Louise and Isobel wait for the bus imgc1918 Hanging out at the bus stop in Monkstown Farm imgc1919 Confidence Man are doing a work-out routine imgc1920 Confidence Man action imgc1922 The gang are on the beers already imgc1926 Part work-out, part music: Confidence Man imgc1929 The epic massed-cooking of burgers at Box Burger imgc1939 The awesome Sugar Hill Gang imgc1940 Part of the Sugar Hill Gang imgc1948 The Sugar Hills have still got it imgc1950 There's some kind of salute imgc1954 Mele Mel and Scorpio from the Furious Five imgc1961 Grandmaster Flash backers The Furious Five imgc1967 There's love from the crowd imgc1968 The crowd goes nuts imgc1987 Fun with a giant golden champagne bottle imgc2000 A final wave from the Sugars imgc2005 Isobel chats with Jen Mac imgc2006 Some dude's picking up hundreds of plastic pints imgc2017 The Sugar Hill Gang work the crowds after their spot imgc2024 Wayne and Caro get a selfie imgc2027 Caro and Isobel do the selfie thing imgc2029 Caro ligs on some other photo action imgc2032 Sugar Hill Gang groupies imgc2037 Caro gets in with someone else's photo imgc2044 The legendary Skatalites are next up imgc2060 The Skatalites on stage imgc2061 Original vocalist Dorren Schaffer joins in imgc2067 The keyboard player has still got the moves imgc2086 The bizarre "King Kong Company" imgc2092 There's a street art exhibition in the terminal imgc2094 A view over the festival imgc2100 Part of the old ferry terminal imgc2101 Another festival view imgc2102 Isobel and Wayne look out over Beatyard imgc2103 More street art imgc2104 Noddy and Gilly hang around imgc2105 The street art exhibition imgc2106 Tommy the Rugrat imgc2110 Someone with a black unicorn head on imgc2114 Some organised activity on the Jameson bus imgc2115 Box Burger's neon sign imgc2116 Wayne, Caro and Isobel imgc2125 Dance legends Orbital on stage imgc2127 Isobel does some dancing imgc2131 Jan Mac joins in with the dancing imgc2134 The Forty Foot - a fancy Wetherspoon's imgc2135 Dun Laoghaire is quiet at night
