title A Camper Van Odyssey: Oxford, Salisbury, New Forest and Barton-on-Sea - 19th June 2011 intro The Camper Van commences a 1,000-mile odyssey, starting in Suffolk and heading in a more-or-less south-westerly direction towards Oxford, via the joys of Luton. At Oxford, we crash over with Caty and Danielli for a night, before heading South towards the coast. After a night of actual camping at the Roundhill campsite just outside Brockenhurst in the New Forest, we head over to see Fred's great-grandmother, and the para-sailing action on Barton-on-Sea cliff top. imgp1633 We head off in Oxford imgp1634 Oxford is not unlike Cambridge imgp1635 In front of the Museum of Natural History imgp1636 Fred finds a bit of tree imgp1637 A complete root system imgp1640 Giant tree stumps outside the museum imgp1642 Inside the museum imgp1644 Caty, Isobel and Fred roam around imgp1646 Fred looks up imgp1647 A Tyrannosaurs Rex skeleton imgp1649 Fred and Isobel mill around near some skeletons imgp1651 The T-Rex skeleton is about to run for it imgp1652 More exhibits imgp1654 T-Rex, head on imgp1655 Fake dinosaur footprints are stuck in the ground imgp1657 An Oxford college imgp1658 A university building imgp1660 The Bridge of Sighs imgp1661 The Round Library imgp1662 Caty and Isobel stride past the Round Library imgp1664 More Oxford colleges imgp1666 A back alley, behind a college imgp1667 Oxford street scene imgp1668 Student marxism is alive and well imgp1669 A derelict building and leaflets for "The Hub" imgp1670 A college entrance imgp1671 Danielli gets some meat on the go on the barbeque imgp1673 Fred in the garden imgp1675 Fred in Giorgia's play house imgp1677 A cathedral gate imgp1678 Salisbury Cathedral imgp1682 Inside Salisbury Cathedral imgp1684 A graffiti dog in the cloisters imgp1685 A rudimentary gaming board, carved in to stone imgp1686 The cloisters of Salisbury imgp1688 A view of the spire - the tallest in England imgp1690 The imposing front of the Cathedral imgp1691 Brightly-coloured construction imgp1692 In the cathedral close imgp1693 Interesting buildings in the Close imgp1694 A nice crest on a building imgp1695 One of Salisbury's ancient city gates imgp1698 A topiary dog imgp1700 Salisbury City centre imgp1702 The picturesque river imgp1703 Looking over the bridge imgp1704 The van at Roundhill Campsite in the New Forest imgp1706 New Forest trees imgp1714 The van in the forest imgp1722 Isobel wraps up imgp1724 A pony and foal imgp1726 New Forest ponies imgp1728 Fred's after the ponies imgp1731 A grey pony imgp1735 Curious damage on a tree imgp1736 Wet oak leaves imgp1740 More trees imgp1742 Fred on a tree stump imgp1747 A field of delicate linseed imgp1751 Linseed flowers near Bransgore imgp1753 Grandmother in her lounge imgp1754 Fred runs up to his great-grandmother imgp1756 Fred's got a camera imgp1757 Fred in Granny's garden imgp1759 Grandmother, Fred and Isobel in the Fisherman's Haunt imgp1763 Fred and Grandmother imgp1765 Parasailer in front of the Isle of Wight imgp1767 Parasailing over Barton on Sea cliffs imgp1768 Looking along the cliffs to Hurst and Keyhaven imgp1769 A parasailer lands on the clifftop imgp1771 Flying over the Beachcomber Café imgp1774 The Van looks out to sea imgp1775 The van at Barton imgp1776 Isobel looks down to the sea imgp1778 Isobel, as seen from the van
