title Eye Say No To Waste!, Eye Airfield, Suffolk - 27th February 2011 intro Moves are afoot to build some humongous waste-incineration plant somewhere in Suffolk, and Eye Airfield is apparently on the list (despite being as far away from most of the county as it's possible to get). Therefore a demonstration is called for, and MPs David Ruffley and Daniel Poulter rock up to show their support. There are over 200 people in attendance, plus a film crew from local TV as well as the Diss Express photographer. Nosher, Isobel and Fred show up too - partly because demos are always good for a photo or two, but also to show some solidarity with the cause. imgp9314 Fred roams around in Amandines imgp9315 Fred the Hoody in Amandines imgp9322 Fred "helps" make some chocolate brownies imgp9335 Fred eats the remains of the cake mix imgp9337 Isobel gets a go of a bawling baby imgp9340 Isobel does a spot of feeding imgp9341 Elizabeth and Fred imgp9345 Steven and Elizabeth, visiting from Cheltenham imgp9347 Elizabeth and Fred find something amusing imgp9349 Fred does peek-a-boo imgp9351 The WWII concrete of Eye Airfield imgp9352 Crowds gather on the runway imgp9353 The Diss Express photographer arranges a shot imgp9356 Placards are waved around imgp9358 The crowd grows in size imgp9369 Speeches are listened to imgp9376 A dude from the Suffolk Preservation Society speaks imgp9384 Placards ahoy imgp9390 An ironic heap of discarded placards imgp9392 The crowds disperse imgp9395 Fred on the concrete imgp9396 Fred chases a girl he thinks is Lucy.
