title The BBs with Ed Sheeran Up The Junction, Clifton Way, Cambridge - 1st June 2010 intro It's a bit random and we're only on stage for about 25 minutes, but The BBs get to perform for the first time at a purpose-built music venue with lights and sound engineers and everything - The Junction in Cambridge. We're the penultimate spot in a night with four other acts, and we have a total of eight minutes to steam on to stage, set up, sound check and start playing, so no pressure then. Whilst we set up, the previous act - Ed Sheeran - jumps in to the crowd and keeps them entertained with some acoustic action. Despite some trepidation about our place in amongst a bunch of Bright Young Things, the modest crowd appear to be enjoying it and a reasonably-sized cluster are thrashing around like they're at a Sex Pistols gig, so the whole thing turns out to be good fun although it's over in no time. Isobel's left The Boy with Caroline and John and so manages to get along to watch, which is a bonus, and takes a few snaps of us in action. Nosher had neglected to mention that the camera was in manual focus mode though, so they're a bit blurry. imgp1297 Our gear in a dressing room imgp1299 A well-used dressing room imgp1300 The rest of the band arrives from Diss imgp1302 The first band is on stage imgp1305 Henry chats to some of the other musicians imgp1307 Ed Sheeran's on stage imgp1309 Ed Sheeran sings imgp1315 Ed Sheeran jumps into the crowd imgp1319 Ed on guitar in the crowd imgp1343 Jo talks the audience while we set up imgp1357 The BBs on stage imgp1365 There's a lively group ner the stage imgp1367 The BBs do their thing imgp1369 Nosher on keyboards imgp1375 The fourth band imgp1379 Backstage graffiti imgp1380 An arrow points the way to the stage
