title A Fire at Valley Farm, Thrandeston, Suffolk - 24th June 2009 intro The Boy Phil texts on Wednesday night to say that a teleporter - not the sci-fi matter-transport device, but a bale-lifting tractor-type-thing - had caught fire and destroyed a large barn at Valley Farm. Thanks to being off for a few days looking after The Boy, Nosher heads over the following morning to have a look at the devastation. The first few photos in this set are contributed by The Boy Phil and show some of the actual event in progress. dscn0085 The fire in full swing at 18:22 dscn0087 Smoke billows over the fields dscn0088 The remains of the barn smoulder away dscn0090 A fire engine on the drive dscn0093 Only burnt timber uprights remain fsck0057 More fire engines fsck0076 Burned timbers fsck0079 A fire engine blocks the lane fsck0083 Firemen mill around in the wreckage fsck0087 Fire hoses snake around over the farm fsck0090 A view of the yard fsck0094 A smouldering pile of corrugated iron fsck0100 Steam and smoke drift away into the sunset fsck0101 Collapsed corrugate iron fsck0106 The road past Valley Farm is blocked imgp6054 The remains of a tractor imgp6056 Fred gets a look at the burned-out tractor imgp6058 A destroyed tractor imgp6063 Where the barn used to be imgp6065 The remains of the barn, built in the 1960s imgp6067 A collapsed roof imgp6071 A nearby engine is covered in melted plastic imgp6075 Stacks of destroyed chairs imgp6078 A relatively-unscathed bolt sticks out from a burnt timber imgp6084 The Boy Phil and The Boy Fred imgp6085 The destroyed tractor imgp6090 The remains of the Teleporter imgp6095 The Boy Phil pokes around imgp6096 We poke around some of the other sheds imgp6098 More shed detritus imgp6099 Another view across the yard imgp6100 A random discarded drum kit imgp6101 Phil inspects more damage imgp6103 The Boy Phil inspects his prized safe - now wrecked imgp6105 Uncle Mick roams around the ruins imgp6106 A good view of the destruction imgp6111 Back at Nosher's, the parsley harvest is in full swing
