Qualcomm At Alton Towers, Staffordshire - 29th June 2008
Isobel's company summer party is this year held at Alton Towers in Staffordshire. Even though Iz can't do any of the rides (on account of up-coming sprognation), we still decide to go anyway as it's a day out, after all. Nosher has been going to Alton Towers, on and off, for about 32 years (several years before the Corkscrew was built)- since way before it was a theme park and when the attraction was the derelict house and the extensive, impressive gardens (oh, and a pedalo pond). It's actually a good excuse to spend half the time poking around the gardens which are still just as gorgeous but, these days, largely ignored by the teaming hordes of thrill-seekers. A tragedy, really.
