title The Shivers Live at the Portland Arms, Cambridge - 26th August 2007 intro The Shivers - mates of Isobel and a band that we're getting to know - are playing at the Portland Arms, a pub on Major's Corner in Cambridge, and which on the outside looks like one of those traditional redbrick town pubs that you might not ordinarily want to go in to without back-up. But far from it, as it turns out to be a decent establishment, with a cool beer-garden and a dedicated "music room" with a great atmosphere. The crowd are up for it, and get well into a spot of Tom Colbourn, Emily Barker and her violin, and the headliners "The Shivers". imgp9349 Emily Barker with her strings backing imgp9353 Emily Barker imgp9367 The backing singer imgp9372 Cello action imgp9380 Emily in the zone imgp9404 Richard of the Shivers imgp9420 The Shivers' bass player imgp9423 The dummer imgp9431 Crowd adoration imgp9442 Gaz of the Shivers does backing vocals imgp9443 The guitar has a tiny amp imgp9465 Rich of The Shivers imgp9473 The Portland Arms crowd imgp9489 The band have their own "Bez" imgp9492 Girls in the audience get emotional with lighters imgp9505 The drummer takes a stand imgp9521 Audience applause imgp9532 The Shivers play the final song imgp9546 A smashed window on Mill Road imgp9550 The old Dales Brewery on Gwydir Street, Cambridge imgp9552 The crest on the old Bath House off Mill Road imgp9554 The Dales Beers clock imgp9557 Dales Brewery in Cambridge
