title Apples, Isobel's Birthday and Remembrance Day, Cambridge and Diss, Norfolk - 11th November 2006 intro It's another miscellaneous round-up: It's the apple harvest, the product of which gets turned in to 59 bottles of juice, then it's Isobel's birthday in the Kingston Arms in Cambridge, which is followed by a few scene of Cambridge and a small plate of chillies. Then there is a sunset in Wetherden, and then some fireworks. Finally, on Saturday in Diss, a clueless Nosher wanders around and finally twigs that "something is going down" shortly before it's 11am, at which point the whole town stops and falls utterly silent, preceded by the Last Post, nicely played by Richard out of the Salvation Army band (and formerly of Cobb's cycle shop in Diss). Then there's a proclamation from the town crier, which is followed, after the two-minute silence, by the reveille and the proclamation "Diss Town: carry on!". imgp8670 The apples from the orchard are ready for pressing imgp8671 In the Kingston Arms imgp8672 James gets up to get another beer imgp8676 Emma and a pot of coffee imgp8679 Emma in the Kingston Arms imgp8683 Stacked chairs at the end of the night imgp8687 Cycling to work on the Green Dragon Bridge imgp8690 A plate of chilies off Isobel's tree imgp8693 Isobel's guitar in the Kingston Street flat imgp8695 Life through a venetian blind imgp8696 Sunset over the village of Wetherden, Suffolk imgp8700 Sunset through some trees imgp8704 A solitary oak tree and sunset near Haughley Green imgp8720 Fireworks highlight Humphrey's light pollution imgp8724 Circle cat: Sophie has a sleep imgp8727 In Diss, the Royal British Legion flag is prepared imgp8730 There was a smile shortly after this photo.
