intro	Steve Ives - serial entrepreneur and founder of 3G Lab, which morphed into Trigenix and was eventually assimilated into the Qualcomm empire - finally leaves, and whilst it's not exactly a surprise it's still the end of an era. Nosher started with 3G Lab almost at the beginning when it was a start-up in a shed with 6 employees, being one of the very first interviewees at the offices in Wennington, in the depths of the Cambridgeshire countryside on the far-side of Huntingdon. Later on, as the company grew, the engineers all moved to offices in Cambourne, and finally the whole company moved to Cambridge Business Park, where it remains. And so, the company duly gathers on the Science Park in what used to be known as the Q-Ton Centre for a spot of lunch and drinks in the finally-arrived balmy weather that is a summer's day. Steve, meanwhile, is to take a few months off before doing "the next thing", whatever that may be. Later in the week, Qualcomm is celebrating the signing of a contract with American telco Sprint, with fizz and orange juice in the Matrix House offices.
