title The SCC Social Club and the Demolition of Diss Publishing, Ipswich and Diss - 2nd April 2005 intro First off, there's a trip to Suffolk County Council Social Club for a few beers. There are two similar photos here, which breaks the repetition rule, but photos of the SCC bar in daylight are rare enough, so there you go. Then, the demolition of part of the Diss Publishing Bookshop - the most radical thing to happen to Diss since the building of Safeway in the 90s - occurs. Whilst taking photos, one of the builders spots Nosher taking photos and invites him in. The dude had lived in Diss for 62 years and could remember when the now-demolished building was actually a garage and petrol station. Finally, Nosher's old man turns up to help out with a bit of gardening. img_1630 The SCC Social Club: classic 60s architecture img_1631 A different view of the SCC Social Club bar img_1632 Russell checks his phone out in Pizza Hut, Ipswich img_1633 The old Mere Street petrol station reappears img_1634 A digger by the Mere img_1636 The remaining bit of Diss Publishing img_1639 Demolition in full swing img_1643 A digger picks off corrugated iron with precision img_1646 The guy who let Nosher in imgp3994 Midges dance around imgp3996 The chicken-shit power station smokes away imgp4048 Nosher's work - Matrix House in Cambridge imgp4051 The new Qualcomm sign imgp4114 The Safeway granite rock - home of Gort imgp4115 Safeway's front door imgp4116 Safeway's entrance, before it turns into Morrisons imgp4569 The old chap roams around the garden imgp4570 A smoking bonfire imgp4571 Smoke from the bonfire drifts over the garden imgp4574 Looking up the garden imgp4577 The old man pokes the fire with a fork imgp4579 Next door is having an extension built imgp4581 Nosher's seedlings: tomatoes, chillis and peppers imgp4583 The Old Man does a crossword imgp4584 The Sock on the path in front of the house imgp4587 Springtime daffodils imgp6769 Funky cross-shaped clouds imgp6800 A pillow of winds - some curious clouds
