title Embrace and Ed Harcourt Live in Norwich, Norfolk - 17th November 2004 intro Indie band Embrace is back from a few years in the wilderness to perform a triumphant set for an appreciative crowd at the UEA in Norwich. Never before has Nosher seen so much love directed to the band from the audience, whilst the heat generated by a sell-out crowd was intensified by a frenetic mass pogo moment in the middle of the set from what looked like the entire crowd, egged on by Embrace front-man Danny McNamara, obviously loving the return to live music. About two weeks before that it's Ed Harcourt at the Waterfront, performing what comes across on the albums as almost acoustic with a full-on rock energy - especially for the track Heart of Darkness, with its heavy double-bass bowing and crunchy guitars. Supporting Ed was the then-unknown band The Magic Numbers, who played what would become one of their signature tunes - "Love Me Like You". img_0904 Possibly the support-support band Absentee img_0910 Other-wordly keyboard style img_0916 Michelle Stodart of the Magic Numbers img_0917 Romeo Stodart of The Magic Numbers img_0918 Michele Stodart thrashes a tambourine around img_0921 Harmonium action img_0933 Dual keyboards img_0934 Ed Harcourt img_0938 An amazing bit of trumpet work img_0943 Ed sings img_0949 Ed Harcourt and his band img_0972 There's a bit of a wig-out moment img_1076 Embrace is supported by Thirteen Senses img_1079 Thirteen Senses at the UEA img_1088 The Embrace crowds img_1091 Danny Macnamara of Embrace img_1103 Dry ice and lights rock moment img_1111 Embrace's Danny Macnamara img_1113 Danny Macnamara gets emotional img_1115 Green and yellow lights img_1128 Embrace on stage img_1141 Danny eggs on the crowd img_1148 Danny Macnamara's shadow on the wall img_1157 The crowd goes nuts img_1163 The Boy Phil img_1164 Danny whips up the crowds for the finale
