title Corfe Castle Camping, Corfe, Dorset - 30th May 2004 intro Nosher blows the fascist popsicle stand that is life to sort his head out and escape for a bit to the south coast, and an area remembered for school geology field trips: Swanage, Lulworth and Corfe Castle. Part of the reason is also to meet up with Sean, Michelle, Rowan and god-daughter Sydney, so of course Nosher drove 250 miles in less than four hours without even arranging where to meet up, but luckily bumped in Michelle and Syd outside the campsite's reception building. That's planning, that is. Whilst there, it also seemed like a good idea to cycle from Corfe to Lulworth - a distance of only 25 miles or so there and back, but over some face-meltingly steep hills. It took everything just to get back to the campsite, but at least there was a beer festival to sort-of make up for it. dcp_9955 Sean's flaming barbeque and Scumavan awning dcp_9956 Sean, Michelle and Rowan in a Scumavan awning dcp_9958 Nosher gets a go of the sprog dcp_9960 Sean and the baby Rowan dcp_9961 Rowan looks like he's after Sean's can of beer dcp_9963 Sean stuffs some food into his gob dcp_9965 Sean has some sort of marshmallow on a stick dcp_9966 Sydney roams around, being not very asleep dcp_9968 The view out of the tent, and frying sausages dcp_9970 Michelle and Sydney in the caravan dcp_9971 Sean is also frying up dcp_9972 Rowan pokes his head above the cot dcp_9974 The Norden Farm camspite is also a farm dcp_9975 Corfe High Street dcp_9976 A look towards Corfe Castle dcp_9979 The Fox Inn, Corfe dcp_9981 The castle has just opened, so it's very quiet dcp_9982 Nosher burns up to the top and is first there dcp_9983 Another view from the top of the castle dcp_9985 The keep, wrecked during the English Civil War dcp_9987 The Swanage Steam Train trundles by dcp_9988 A view of Corfe from the castle dcp_9989 Another view of the tenuously-standing keep dcp_9991 Another broken wall dcp_9993 St. Peter's Church at Knowle dcp_9995 The red flag warns that army ranges are all around dcp_9996 Near the top of Povington Hill dcp_0001 A selfie on Povington - this camera's 10,000th pic dcp_0003 Nosher's trusty bike and backpack dcp_0004 A giant chess set outside the Castle Inn, Lulworth dcp_0005 Nosher and red hair outside the Castle Inn pub dcp_0006 More Dorset thatches dcp_0007 The Castle Inn dcp_0009 The cove next to Durdel Door dcp_0013 The famous Durdle Door dcp_0014 Almost perfectly-round coves dcp_0016 Another view of Durdle Door dcp_0019 A dog on the beach near Durdle Door dcp_0027 Another view of Durdle Cove dcp_0028 Walking back on the steep cliff path dcp_0029 Looking towards Lulworth Cove dcp_0030 The lapping waves of Lulworth Cove dcp_0031 A wheeled boat pontoon dcp_0032 Inside the Greyhound's beer tent dcp_0033 Drive 250 miles and there's still Adnams beer on dcp_0034 Nosher at the Greyhound beer festival dcp_0035 Daytime drinkers in the beer garden dcp_0037 A view of the Greyhound pub dcp_0040 Michelle tries to feed Rowan, as Jean holds on dcp_0041 Sydney roams around again dcp_0046 Bob gets into trouble for stirring Sydney up dcp_0047 Nosher's camped in Tent city dcp_0048 Nosher's tent looks a bit bedraggled dcp_0050 Sean's caravan dcp_0051 Michelle and the babies
