Karl Huggins' Birthday, and a Night in a Pub - July 1990
Karl Huggins, paper buyer at BPCC Printec (Anglia Web) has a 21st birthday at Weybread Village Hall. At one time, Karl organised a "spare" 38-tonne artic to divert from its drop-off of 20 tonnes of paper to a warehouse in Bognor Regis and pick up Nosher's small collection of furniture from his mother's house in the New Forest. Jimbo, the driver, swore a lot on the way but neatly introduced the life of an HGV and the way of the roadside "caff". Also here are a bunch of photos from a pub on night, probably also related to Karl's birthday, and one of Printec's Managing Director - Keith Clark - and Finance Director - Mike Perkins - as they and Nosher fly up to Teeside to get a taxi to Carlisle for a visit to BPCC Carlisle Web Offset. Nosher, for his part, spent a week surveying the "business systems" with a view to introducing computers. A bit of a beano really...
