title Soman-Wherry and the Lord Mayor's Parade, Norwich - 3rd May 1988 intro One of Nosher's tasks whilst on placement year is the crucial job of decorating Soman-Wherry Press's entry into the Lord Mayor's Procession, held in Norwich. This mostly involves using up a pallet-load of bulb catalogues (as in the planting flower variety) to stick on the sides of a couple of windmills, as the theme this year is "Holland". Nosher also designed a teeshirt, which was printed by former housemate Barney's company on Ber Street. scan-120217-0031 Outside the Crocodile Building on Heigham Street scan-120217-0033 The float, ready to go scan-120217-0001 One of the print boys is dressed up scan-120217-0016 A windmill on St Stephen's Street scan-120217-0006 The windmill heads further up St. Stephen's scan-120217-0007 Big crowds on St. Stephen's scan-120217-0005 The scene near Pizza Hut scan-120217-0013 Bill Butler hands stuff out near Westlegate scan-120217-0015 Some tulips scan-120217-0008 Crowded streets near Norwich Castle scan-120217-0002 The crowds line the hill around the Castle scan-120217-0003 Collecting outside the TSB on Castle Meadow scan-120217-0004 Walking down Castle Meadow scan-120217-0009 Bill Butler strolls alongside Cartco's lorry scan-120217-0010 The Soman's float scan-120217-0011 Rachel and Sue scan-120217-0012 The Soman's gang on the back of the float scan-120217-0019 Something bright orange scan-120217-0020 The Dutch "girl" lifts up his apron scan-120217-0021 The crowds in Tombland scan-120217-0022 Throngs of people near the Maids Head scan-120217-0029 More collecting with buckets scan-120217-0037 Soman Wherry, for colourful print scan-120217-0038 The printer dude from the factory scan-120217-0030 Waving a flower around on Palace Street scan-120217-0034 The Soman-Wherry float posse in the car park
