title A Bus in a Hole, Earlham Road, Norwich - 3rd March 1988 intro It's not the most extensive album, but it's a rare event with a canonical date still documented on the BBC website. Nosher's on the sofa watching the local news on TV when reports come in of a bus swallowed by a hole in a road not far from the Valentine Street house. This was not to be missed, with the event itself being used by Cadbury later on to promote one of its chocolate bars, with the line "nothing fills a hole like a Double Decker". The hole was caused by the collapse of some mediaeval chalk mines under the road, which is a thing that's not uncommon in Norwich. scan-120217-0029 The Number 26 bus in a hole on Earlham Road scan-120217-0034 A wider view, with Earlham Cathedral in the background
