title Uni: PPSU Sabbatical Election Hustings, Plymouth - 10th February 1986 intro There's a final elections hustings prior to the following day's elections for some of the sabbatical posts in the SU - at least those of President and Information and Communications Office (I&CO). Mark Wilkins, the current I&CO, is in the frame for President (assisted by some marketing and leaflet design courtesy of Nosher and the Polytechnic's Prime mainframe and graphics plotter), as is Rich Arnold for a second term. It's also the first appearance of Ian Dunwoody, who would win the election to become the following year's controversial I&CO. His election tag lines were along the lines of "Vote for a Tree" and a hat with "VD" on it, for "Vote Dunwoody" but also an acronym for Venereal Disease. scan-120105-0008 Ian Dunwoody shouts "vote for a tree" scan-120105-0005 Mark and Grant in the James Street Vaults scan-120105-0006 Dave, Dobbs, Andy and Riki in the JSV scan-120105-0014 A crowd in the JSV scan-120105-0011 Andy Bray slurps a beer scan-120105-0012 Andy points at something scan-120105-0013 A busy JSV, with Rich Arnold on the right scan-120105-0015 Andy looks a bit frazzled scan-120105-0009 Justin, Mark and Sam Kennedy in the SU scan-120105-0010 Mark and Sam Kennedy scan-120105-0001 Mark Wilkins points to the future scan-120105-0003 Mark Wilkins talks about stuff scan-120105-0004 Mark Wilkins takes questions from the floor scan-120105-0017 Sam Kennedy's in a gorilla suit scan-120105-0018 "Mention Fowler again" is waved around scan-120105-0019 Ian Dunwoody, with a "VD" hat on scan-120105-0020 Linda Pettit speaks scan-120105-0021 Jackie Young speaks for the I&CO job
