Nosher becomes a Student Hack - Fly Magazine 1986
Looking for something extra to do, and wishing to utilise his camera and typing skills, Nosher volunteers to help out at the student magazine "Fly". This was the start of a few years "student hackdom", contributing not just to the mag, but to student politics, social events, bar work and general SU workings, as well as becoming the official SU photographer. These photos cover just a tiny part of the "Fly Experience" - a staff party and a session down the James Street Vaults, just off-campus.

The layout area. Fly was then produced by typing out on 4"/10cm paper rolls which were laid out on A3 sheets and separated by black lines of thin sticky tape. This was then reduced using PMT (photo-mechanical transfer) and half-toned before being exposed to plate and printed on a Rotaprint Alpha-90 litho press |
