Here's another advert from Tandy/Radio Shack for the Model III variant of its TRS-80, or Trash-80 - the original version of which had been launched back in 1977.

It was not uncommon for companies to sell their systems as solution to a particular individual task. Bespoke Word Processing systems were popular - which Tandy itself did <a href="tandy_wpsys_percw_nov82">a few months later</a> -  and the price often reflected a belief that one micro could <a href="adve_029">replace one or more actual typists</a>.

Here, Tandy is offering its Model III as an accounting system, with a bundled copy of Check Writer-80 - which replaces a peg-board system, whatever that was - a printer and easy-to-follow instructions. 

The system retailed for $3,433, or about [[2288|1982]] in [[now]].
