How much available memory you get with the new Oric Atmos A simple, if striking, advert for Oric's "new" Atmos - in reality the original Oric 1 in a new case and with a load of bug fixes. The advert points out that many home micros of the day used areas of user memory to manage their graphics. The BBC Micro, for example, used a full 20K out of its ration of 32K when in high-resolution mode. It somewhat shoots itself in the foot though when comparing its own after-graphics availablity of 37K with the Commodore 64, which although it does use more of its memory for graphics - 26K - still ends up with 38K, which is 1K more than the Atmos.
