title Felixstowe in the Rain, Suffolk - 10th March 2024 intro It's Mothering Sunday, and Isobel wants to do something so we try to persuade the boys to come out. Fred can't be arsed, but Harry relucantly comes along as we head over to Felixstowe for a bit. As it happens, by the time we get there it's started raining, and it only gets worse, so we end up sheltering in the random market stalls of Manning's. Harry gets to eat a bit of Macaroni Cheese and then we bugger off back home, somewhat soggier than when we arrived. Chris De Burgh summed it up nicely with the line "there's nothing quite like an out-of-season holiday town in the rain". imgp0870 The Marlborough on Sea Road is still derelict imgp0871 No dogs are allowed inside this derelict squat imgp0872 Saltwater Fish and Chips is doing well imgp0873 Isobel and Harry walk along a wet Sea Road imgp0875 Manning's - built in the 1940s in a 30s style imgp0878 Isobel and Harry are a bit wet imgp0879 A mad discount random food stall imgp0881 Random detritus imgp0883 Someone scopes out the knock-down food on offer imgp0885 It's definitely an umbrella day imgp0886 Harry and Isobel look at more stuff imgp0887 Someone strides around in the rain imgp0890 The Billy's Meats van isn't doing much trade imgp0891 Isobel and Harry in the rain again imgp0899 We wait for Harry's Macaroni Cheese imgp0901 Donuts and Cheeseburgers on a wet day imgp0902 Harry looks around as we head back to the car imgp0905 Fantasia amusements definitely isn't imgp0906 The outdoor table-tennis isn't doing much
